If you ask me what's the question I hear most often: "And how much does it really cost to sleep here?". It's not a bad question. The answer depends on where you lay your head.
Sardinia: the island of options
We have 101 properties listed in Sardinia. They range from €59 per night to much more. The average hovers around €203. That means you'll find both the stone house in the interior, near villages like Bosa or Tharros, as well as the villa overlooking Costa Smeralda. It's not the same renting in Porto Cervo as in Nuoro. Sardinian geography is deliberately scattered: red sand beaches in Budelli, granite cliffs in Capo Testa, medieval villages 40 kilometers from the sea. If you're looking for budget flexibility and variety, you'll find it here.
Cyprus: affordable price, surprise included
Eighteen properties. Base price from €67, average €153 per night. Cyprus works differently. It's not social media hype or tourist saturation. It means you book with less competition, less noise, more likelihood that the owner actually cares for the place. Villages like Lefkara, with their lace and silver workshops, or the vineyards around Omodos still function as if nothing has happened in the last thirty years. Low density of tourist accommodation. That has consequences: more peace and quiet, less infrastructure geared toward the international tourist, but also more honest prices.
Corfu: between mountain and Adriatic
Twenty-five properties. From €48 to higher figures, average €198. Corfu is Greece's greenest island, the one that rains. It has Balkan vegetation. Villages in the north, like Paleokastritsa, are surrounded by olive and cypress trees that descend to coves of clear water. It's not white-washed picture-postcard material but a rugged island with visible Venetian history in the architecture of Kerkyra, the capital. The price range reflects that: you can rent a traditional house with a courtyard and fruit trees for less, or something with exaggerated views at mid-to-high price. Less Instagram-perfect aesthetics, more territorial character.
How to decide where to rent
- If you want variety of experiences and flexible budget: Sardinia. With 101 properties you have real options in every price range and every type of area: coast, interior, village, isolated house, urban property.
- If you're looking for pure value without compromises: Cyprus. Lower prices than other islands, less saturation, more direct owner attention. Ideal if your budget is tight and you want it to show.
- If you prefer character over amenities: Corfu. Rugged, verdant territory with a different logic from typical Mediterranean. Less polished, more authentic. Mid-range price comparable to Sardinia but with a more rural experience.
What you won't find here are surprise price hikes at the end. The data you see is real: minimum range, average, distribution of properties. That's what there is. Go to the search tool, filter by area and price range, and you'll see the specific options we have on each island. If you want to explore other Mediterranean regions, check out all destinations.
The difference between a good booking and an unpleasant surprise isn't about price: it's about knowing what to expect. Here you do.
