As the system is new, all the details are not available but will include passport numbers, names, home addresses, email addresses and possibly payment details etc. This is a requirement of the Spanish government which I have to collect by law. If unsure please message me before booking. There is also a €2 per person per day tourist tax payable by all visitors to Spain that will be collected locally. I may have some personal items there and if so it will be in a locked box or drawer. Please treat the property with care as you will want to come back to it, I promise!Other things to noteFornalutx is a beautiful world heritage village, with steps and beautiful cobbled streets rising up slowly above the village. Some of the streets are cobbled and have steps. The village won the Most beautiful Village in Spain prize!A car is not absolutely necessary if you are on a trekking or cycling holiday, as the village is self contained. However you may wish to rent a car from Palma airport, or the car rental office in Port Sóller. You can rent a car on a daily basis from Port Sóller at very reasonable rates if you wish to see other parts of the Island. There are bus/taxi links to Sóller, Port Sóller, Valldemossa, Deià, and Palma, a wooden train from Sóller to Palma and also a wooden tram between Sóller and Port Sóller. This area is a hiker's and cyclists' paradise. Maps and trail ideas are readily available for hikers, and the routes are well marked on the ground. For cyclists, the road surfaces are superb, the views incredible, and you will see and possibly meet professional cyclists who use this incredible island to practise when the weather is unsuitable in the rest of Europe. To travel to Sóller, a much larger and busier town at the bottom of the hill, you can either walk via either an easy footpath starting at the cemetery, or a tough footpath involving a steep ascent before descending to the small hamlet of Biniaraix (café/bar and restaurant) by turning right after the first steps and following directions which I will send to everyone that books. After a drink stop and a breather in Biniaraix, you can descend quickly into Sóller with its magnificent cathedral and lively square, maybe take a tram ride to Port de Sóller with its beautiful beach and marina. If you have a car, you can just drive downhill, passing the left turn to Biniaraix, continuing to follow signs to Sóller centre. (Note parking in Sóller can be difficult. There are several car parks but these fill quickly in season. If you are lucky you may see a free parking space on a road, but if there is a blue line by the side of the road, beware! The blue line indicates either no parking, restricted parking or paid parking, depending on the notices. My preferred way to go to Sóller by car is to go up the hill 800m to the T junction, turn left and continue to the main road where turn left, then after several roundabouts pass a REPSOL petrol station then near the museum of natural sciences park in a space on the left, many cars park there diagonally but there is always spaces. Then find a road on the same side of the road that goes down into the town.I HAVE WRITTEN ABOUT THREE LOVELY WALKS THAT I DID LAST YEAR AND PLACED THEM AT THE END OF THE “HOUSE MANUAL”. I WROTE THEM AS I WALKED AND AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CHANGES THAT MAY HAVE OCCURRED OR ERRORS I MIGHT HAVE MADE. MAKE SURE THAT YOU USE SUN CREAM AND HAT IN HOT WEATHER, AND ALWAYS TAKE PLENTY OF WATERI SUGGEST YOU VISIT THE FORNALUTX SUPERMARKET AND PURCHASE ONE OF THE BOOKS THEY STOCK CONTAINING MANY WALKS AND MAPS OF THE TRAMUNTANA RANGE.[Please take care on the surrounding mountain trails and note that we can accept no responsibility for accidents that may occur on any of the mountain, walking or cycling paths]Registration DetailsMallorca - Regional registration numberETV/12386Spain - National registration numberESFCTU0000070280004371790000000000000000000ETV/123860
